What a strange year for Americans’ careers. Start with the fact that millions simply quit their jobs in 2021 because of burnout, personal responsibilities or a chance to find better opportunities elsewhere. Many also lost their jobs because they refused to get vaccinated against Covid-19 or because their employers had to scale back during the pandemic. Meanwhile, a number of protesters who stormed the United States Capitol on January 6 discovered that their actions came at a cost to their careers.

Then there are those whose careers suffered for more personal reasons. Firing employees on Zoom and impersonating a customer to impress potential investors were the sparks behind some of this year’s most notable career flame-outs. Others are hanging on, but suffered reputational damage that they’re now trying to repair.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell remains hopeful lawmakers can pass a coronavirus relief package before Congress adjourns for the holidays.

McConnell says that he thinks he has "a sense" of what President Donald Trump would sign into law to help deliver aid to people in need.

Earlier proposals were rejected by top leaders. But pressure is building as lawmakers face the prospect of heading home for Christmas and New Year's without any additional legislation.

McConnell also did not directly answer a question about why he has been quiet to rebut the president's claims of widespread fraud in the presidential election.

"As I've said repeatedly, we have this government for the next three weeks for sure," McConnell said. "The future will take care of itself."

DOJ Has Not Found Widespread Election Fraud, Attorney General Barr Says | TODAY

China's Yutu-2 is a robotic mission to the dark side of the Moon launched on December 7, 2018. On January 3, 2019, it completes the first-ever soft landing on the lunar far side. It lands not far from the Moon's South Pole. Scientists are interested in this area. Cold, permanently shadowed craters at the poles contain water ice. These ice patches are uneven and are likely to be ancient. In the south, most of the water ice is concentrated in craters.

In a few months, when the scientists were looking through the pictures taken by the rover's main camera, they spotted it - a small crater filled with something that looks shockingly different from the surrounding landscape. Unable to identify the gel-like substance, the team ordered the rover to check this bizarre finding. The nature of the unusually colored finding has remained a mystery for over a year. But finally, the mystery seems to have been solved!
